The results of the ratification vote are as follows,
The current tentative package has been rejected, by the majority.
The voter turn out was over 85%
I want to thank everyone for attending the ratification vote and showing support for the team, ultimately it was the members that decided their own fate that's what a union is all about.
Please stay tuned for follow up information.
Please respect the vote of the majority. This is a true representation of what the members want.

jack out of curiosity what was the final count and or percentage of Yes to No??
The team is not releaseing the vote percentage.
Don't be silly, the team is not going to release the info especially when they don't know who is asking for it.
I am glad to see unity amongst the union membership. Hopefully we will stand strong and get what a government corporation should provide for its employees. Namely, fulltime employment at a wage with which we can raise a family, purchase homes and benefits to care for our families. Its a shame that the government condones the hiring of "CONTRACT" employees. These individuals in many instances are doing the same job as fulltime/partime employees and at a substantial difference in pay and no benefits. OLGC/Management would like nothing more than to have us all contract. We must negotiate the transition of contract positions to fulltime/partime positions and no tiers of employment. In the long term this in my opinion will make us much stronger and effective.
